One of the rarer Goldenrod species, Blue Stem Goldenrod (Solidago caesia) flaunts bright yellow flowers blooming late into the summer and fall. It is shade tolerant and an important late season food source for bees and other insects. While Goldenrods are often held responsible for fall allergies, it is in fact Ragweed that is to blame! So, enjoy this particular beauty sneeze-free! This species compliments other fall blooms such as Smooth Blue Aster.
