This species is the perfect addition to your shady woodland garden! It produces large poppy-like yellow flowers in clusters on top of leafless stems except for a pair of opposite leaves below the flowers. Blooms occur from late spring to summer. Wood Poppy is native to moist woodlands and prefers part to full shade. It produces thick, rhizomatous roots. This plant can be incorporated into a rain garden.
