A dense shrub that grows quickly once established. The vibrant pink flowers produce a pleasant fragrance in the summer and are highly attractive to bumblebees. The berry-like rosehip fruits are enjoyed by birds and other wildlife, turning bright red in late summer. It has very few to no prickles on the new growth and adapts well to dry, rocky conditions. This species spreads by rhizomes, so be sure to provide it with ample space to expand.
