A unique shrub native to sand dunes, rocky shores, or beach ridges. Its thick and waxy looking leaves contrast with beautiful white flowers in the spring. The purple fruit are acidic or bitter, and can be used in preserves or dried. Alternatively, leaving the fruit for local wildlife is a great option. Plant in a dry sandy location with part shade to full sun.
