Beautiful purple blooms in late summer and fall attract butterflies and bees. Plant with slow-growing perennials or as a border plant as it is a shorter, non-competitive plant. Its shallow roots allow this plant to be drought tolerant. This species prefers dry to medium, sandy soil in part shade to full sun.
