Tree in 2 x 5 inch coco fibre plug

A unique tree that is worth having in your yard! It is Ontario's only native deciduous conifer (loses its needles in the fall and is cone bearing). The needles are soft and turn from bluish-green in summer to golden yellow in the fall. It will tolerate some drier soils but prefers moist to wet soil in a full sun location. Small yellow-brown cones have seeds which are eaten by chipmunks and other small animals.

Other common name: Larch
