Description

A low-growing tree that can sometimes take the form of a shrub. Unlike most dogwoods, the leaves are alternate as opposed to opposite. Grows best in shaded locations that receive a few hours of direct sunlight. Keep soil cool and moist by mulching. Lovely white flowers bloom in the spring. Berries are not recommended for eating but they do attract a wide variety of birds. Fall foliage is a deep red and purple.
