Description
A fabulous vine with fragrant flowers that grows quickly and self-sows for next season. The blooms will attract bees and butterflies and the foliage will attract birds who will build their nests using the seed heads as their building material.
When the vine grows tall it will require the support of a sturdy lattice or trellis. The flowers appear only on the current season stems, so you can safely prune excessive growth during winter. Virgin’s Bower is deer resistant.
Alternative common names: Leather flower, Old man’s beard
