Description
Matures into a tall perennial that brings beautiful, purple blooms with orange centres in the late summer to early fall. Plant in moist, well-drained soil and cut back to maintain size. This plant is a very important source of late-season nourishment for pollinators. Distinguished from Smooth Blue Aster by a hairy stem. Pairs beautifully with Blue-stem Goldenrod or Smooth Oxeye.
