Description

Small and compact branching shrub that is fairly easy to grow and care for. Enjoys well drained moderate to moist loam or sandy loam soils. Can tolerate some drought. Known for its long lasting, dense, yellow flowers in bloom from summer to early fall for as long as 2-3 months. Flowers attract bees, wasps, and flies.

Green leaves are arranged in groups of five which gave rise to the name ‘cinquefoil’ from which ‘cinq’ means five and ‘foil’ means leaf. Great as a garden hedge or border. To keep the shrub’s dense rounded form, prune back in winter or early spring.
