Description
Bronze coloured seeds form in the late summer on this warm season grass. Golden stems and coloured seeds bring welcome colour for the fall, along with a food source and habitat for birds. Spreads rapidly with rhizomes, so not ideal for small areas. Grows up to six feet with deep roots. Caterpillars and grasshoppers that eat the grass blades become a food source for birds.
