Description
Winterberry (Ilex verticillata) is a berry-wielding shrub that is well suited to wet, poorly drained soils. Berries are a vibrant red and remain on the plant after the foliage has fallen. Attractive when grown as a hedge or in clumps together. We encourage you to buy several of these plants if you desire to see its berries, due to its dioecious nature (containing only male or female reproductive characteristics). Berries are not edible.
