Description
An attractive, dense, evergreen conifer with horizontal branching. Gray to red-brown bark is shed in strips on mature trees. Foliage is dark blue-green and may turn brown-green in winter. Dioecious species (separate male and female trees). Female trees produce gray to black-green berry like cones that ripen and fall. These cones are a food source for many bird species.
