Description

Enjoy a pretty ball of star-like white flowers blooming in mid-summer. Delicate hanging flowers reflect the name “nodding” onion. Best planted in clusters. Flowers are pollinated by small short-tongued bees. Prefers full sun locations and to be grown with other plants of similar size or non-competitive nature.

Bulbs and leaves are not recommended to eat raw in large quantities, but make an excellent seasoning in cooked food. Dies back to a bulb in the late summer.

Ontario Hardiness Zone: 2 to 7 (Find out your Hardiness Zone here)
